Andreas Günther ist ein deutscher Pianist und Saxofonist aus Hamburg.
Neben seiner Tätigkeit als Live-Musiker ist er auch Komponist und Instrumentallehrer.
Über die Jahre hat er sich Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Audiosoftware und Studiotechnik angeeignet.
Zusätzlich arbeitet er an Zeichnungen, Grafikdesign, Artwork und Videos.
Auf dieser Website sind, als Teil seines Schaffens, Deutsche und internationale Musikprojekte dargestellt.
Andreas ist diplomierter Instrumentalpädagoge und hat zwischen 2002 und 2006 an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen Jazz-Klavier studiert.
Er hat zwischen 2013 und 2018 in Shanghai gelebt und arbeitet momentan mit internationalen Künstlern wie Leonardo Susi, Yordan Kostov, Fred Grenade und Kendra Morris zusammen.
2023 war er auf Europa-Tournee mit Sebastian Nagel / Kendra Morris & the Winston Brothers. Konzerte
u.a. in London (Ronnie Scott's jazz club), Wien, Paris, Amsterdam und Berlin.
Ausserdem internationale Konzerte und Festivals in Japan, China, Bosnien, Mazedonien (Jazzfestival Skopje 2021), Frankreich, England, Österreich, Holland und Deutschland.
Ausbildung:
Erste Klavierstunden bekam Andreas in den jungen Jahren u.a. vom kanadischen Pianisten Prof. Walter Prossnitz während eines zweijährigen Aufenthalts in Zürich. Zurück in Hamburg lernte er Saxofon bei dem Saxofonisten Ulrich Sthamer und erhielt weiter Klavierstunden bei dem Jazz-Pianisten Prof. Buggy Braune. Weitere Lehrer während des Studiums waren Jazzpianist Joe Dinkelbach und Saxofonist Prof. Martin Classen. Unterricht und Workshops u.a. bei Jazztrompeter Oliver Groenewald, Richie Beirach, Billy Hart und Prof. Detlev Beier.

Andreas holds a degree in instrumental pedagogy and studied jazz piano at the Hochschule für Künste in Bremen between 2002 and 2006.

Education:
Andreas received his first piano lessons in his younger years from Canadian pianist Prof. Walter Prossnitz, among others, during a two-year stay in Zurich. Back in Hamburg, he learned saxophone from saxophonist Ulrich Sthamer and continued to receive piano lessons from jazz pianist Prof. Buggy Braune. Other teachers during his studies were jazz pianist Joe Dinkelbach and saxophonist Prof. Martin Classen. Lessons and workshops with jazz trumpeter Oliver Groenewald, Richie Beirach, Billy Hart and Prof. Detlev Beier, among others.
